FAQ
How do I book a session with you?
You can book directly through my Book with me Form page. Once we choose a date and session type, I’ll send you a confirmation with all the details — including how to pay your retainer to secure your spot.
Where do your sessions take place?
Sessions are typically done outdoors in natural light, and I’ll help you choose a location that fits your vibe — whether it’s romantic, playful, scenic, or urban. I also offer suggestions based on lighting and accessibility.
How many people can I bring?
Each session type has a different group limit. For families or group shoots, I offer options for small groups (3–5), full groups (6–8), or celebration packages (9–12+). Need something custom? Reach out!
Can we change outfits during the session?
Yes.
Outfit changes are included in Lasting Memories sessions, as there is enough time built in for them. For Little Moments sessions, an outfit change may be possible depending on group size and flow of the session, but it is not guaranteed.
If you are hoping to include an outfit change, it is best to mention it ahead of time so we can plan the session accordingly.
How far in advance should I book?
The sooner, the better — especially for golden hour or weekend dates, which go quickly. I recommend booking at least 2–3 weeks in advance.
Do you guide us with posing?
Absolutely! You don’t have to worry about a thing. I gently guide you through natural poses and prompts so it never feels stiff or awkward — just genuine, fun, and real.
Can I bring my dog/kid/friend?
Of course! Just let me know ahead of time so I can plan accordingly.
What if I’m camera shy or awkward in photos?
You’re not alone — most of my clients say the same thing at first! My sessions are relaxed and guided with natural prompts, so you can just be yourself. I’ll help you feel comfortable and confident, and you’ll probably forget you’re even being photographed by the end.
FAQ - Gallery & Image Delivery
How long does it take to receive my photos?
Turnaround time is typically 4-6 weeks, depending on the season. I’ll always keep you updated and send your gallery as soon as it’s ready.
How many images will I receive?
Each session includes a minimum number of fully edited, high-resolution images, depending on the package you choose. You’ll receive an online gallery where you can view, download, and share your images with no watermark.
Do you deliver unedited (RAW) photos?
No. All final images are hand-selected and edited in my signature style. I don’t deliver RAW or unedited images — I believe the editing is part of the creative process and the final product.
FAQ - Rescheduling and Cancellation
Can I cancel or reschedule my session?
Life happens! I allow reschedules with at least 48 hours notice.
Retainers are non-refundable, but if you need to move your session, I’ll work with you to find another available date.
What if I’m late to the session?
I totally understand delays, but please be aware that sessions are booked back-to-back. Arriving late may result in a shortened session to stay on schedule.
FAQ - Client Experience
Will you post my photos online?
I love showcasing my work and celebrating my amazing clients! All clients sign a model release when booking, which allows me to share a few images from your session in my portfolio. If you'd prefer to keep them private, just let me know — I fully respect that.
Can I leave a review?
Yes please! You can leave a testimonial via email , and I may feature your kind words on my site or socials.
What makes your work different?
Clients tell me they book me because my work feels natural, heartfelt, and real — no stiff posing, just genuine moments, captured beautifully with professional gear and editing.
My goal isn’t just to take pictures — it’s to create a calm, fun experience that leaves you feeling seen, confident, and excited to relive the memories.
Do you have a question?
I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable, seen, and celebrated — not rushed or overly posed. Every session is a mix of light direction, natural prompts, and space for your real connection to shine through. Whether it’s your first time in front of the camera or your fiftieth, my goal is to make it feel more like a fun hangout than a stiff photoshoot. I’ll guide you gently, keep things moving, and make sure we capture the little moments in between — because those are usually the most meaningful.
FAQ - Payment & Pricing
How do I pay?
I currently accept Interac e-Transfers, which are secure, instant, and help avoid extra fees.
Please send payments to:
📧 sierradeschampsphotography@gmail.com
📝 Message: Include your name and session date.
Why do you use e-transfer instead of card payments?
I use Interac e-Transfer to avoid third-party processing fees, which means more of your payment goes directly into the service I provide — not to a platform. It also allows me to keep my pricing accessible while still offering professional-level photography with high-end gear and careful editing. If you ever need an alternate method like credit card, just let me know — I can open it temporarily (with added platform fees).
Can I pay in full?
Yes! If you’d prefer to pay the full amount upfront, feel free to do so.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes — a non-refundable retainer is required to book your session.
The balance is due 48 hours before your session.
Do you accept credit card or PayPal?
I currently accept e-transfer only to avoid high platform fees. If credit card payment is absolutely necessary, I can enable Stripe temporarily (additional fees apply).
Can I get a receipt or invoice?
Of course! Just let me know if you’d like a formal invoice or payment confirmation — I’m happy to provide it.
